Christmas reading – first in historical fiction series

I am constantly surprised by the variety of work in the genre in which I write. If you are looking for some excellent historical fiction to read then take a look at Alison Morton’s post here.

Alison focuses on the first book of thirteen historical fiction series by a wide range of authors. There’s a great selection on offer here for the lover of historical fiction.

You’ll find my own ‘first in series’, Feud, is included but I would also like to especially recommend several others:

Alison’s excellent alternative history series Roma Nova which begins with Inceptio. Find out more at: http://alison-morton.com/

Helen Hollick’s swashbuckling pirate series beginning with Seawitch.                       Find out more at: http://ofhistoryandkings.blogspot.fr/

Nancy Bilyeau’s award winning Tudor series the first of which is The Crown.            You can find out more about this at: http://www.nancybilyeau.com/

And there are many others too, so hopefully you’ll find something to your taste!
